Could you be a Councillor? With a number of Parish Councillors standing down in April the Parish Council is hoping that local people will consider standing for election in May.

Electoral legislation requires that the nomination papers must be hand delivered. They can be accepted at the District Council’s Offices, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5BT between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm on any working day commencing Tuesday 22 March, but not later than 4.00pm on Tuesday 5 April 2022. Electoral Services staff will check them for basic accuracy while whoever brings the paper waits.
A Statement of Persons Nominated for each parish/ward will be published on the District Council’s website by 4.00pm on Wednesday 6 April.
